In the United States and Canada, fees may be charged if consumer transactions are returned due to insufficient funds. Trustly charges up to the state allowed maximum, which are listed below.‍In Canada,

Trustly charges a flat fee of CAD25 for insufficient funds.

* State Specific Requirements

FL	If payment amount <$50 fee is $25. If amount >$50 but ≤$300 fee is $30. If amount >$300 fee is $40, or 5% of amount, whichever is greater.
GA	$30 or 5% of payment amount, whichever is greater.
LA	$25 or 5% of payment amount, whichever is greater.
MI	$25 fee, which after 15 days’ notice, increases by $35. If your payment is not received after 30 days’ notice, we are authorized to sue for the collection fees plus all costs.
OH	$30 or 10% of payment amount, whichever is greater.
TX	$30 before tax, which is $32.48 including 8.25% Texas State Tax. Texas ID numbers must be manually entered. Do not swipe the magnetic stripe on a Texas ID.
WA	$30 if the record is less than 33 days old. After 33 days’ notice, increases by the lesser of payment amount or $40, plus 12% interest.
