Privacy Notice for Applying to Trustly

Information about Trustly’s handling of personal data when applying for a job with Trustly.

Introduction

At Trustly, we value your privacy and work hard to protect your personal information. It is therefore important for us to inform you of how we collect and process personal information about you when you interact with Trustly. The purpose of this information notice is to set out the principles governing Trustly 's processing of your personal data provided to us when you apply for a job with Trustly via our website.

The data controller of the personal data submitted by you is the Trustly entity in the country to which the open position that you apply for, belongs.

Personal data we process, purposes and legal basis

When you apply for a job with Trustly via our website, we will ask you to provide us information about yourself. We will collect and process this data via the recruitment tool, Lever. The information will include your name, telephone number, e-mail address and the information included in the attachments to your application, such as CV and personal letter. In connection with the job position you have applied for, we may ask you to perform personality and/or qualifications tests via the assessment tool, Assessio. The processed information will include your name, e-mail address, year of birth, education level and the results of such test(s). We ask you to provide the information stipulated above for the purposes of (i) managing and evaluating your application, (ii) managing your application in future recruitment processes, should our recruitment team deem that your profile may be of interest for future open job positions, and (iii) resolve any disputes related to the recruitment process. The legal basis for processing the personal data in (i) above, is steps necessary to enter into a contract, in (ii), your consent, and in (iii), our legitimate interest. For the purpose of evaluating your application, we may also ourselves collect and store data that is publicly available on you from e.g., LinkedIn. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest.

Accessing and sharing your personal data

The information you provide will be reviewed by our recruitment team including other relevant employees as necessary to evaluate your application. As stipulated above, the information may also be shared with third parties, acting on our behalf and only according to our instructions. Such third parties will for instance store the information you provide us with. Data Retention

Trustly and any third parties, as applicable, will store information about you for a period of up to two years after the recruitment process has been completed. The retention period is based on the time under which a candidate can initiate proceedings against Trustly, questioning e.g. the outcome of the recruitment process. As described above, Trustly may also, with your consent, store information about you if our recruitment team deems that your profile may be of interest for future open job positions in order to contact you in such a case. The information will be stored for up to two years. You can at any time revoke your consent by sending an email to privacy@trustly.com.

If your application leads to you becoming an employee, relevant information collected about you during the recruitment process will become a part of your employment and retained in accordance with our retention policy for employee data

Data Subject Rights

As an individual you have certain rights under the GDPR regarding our processing of your personal data, such as requesting access to the personal data we have stored about you, getting your personal data rectified and requesting the deletion of your personal data. These rights also include a right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish data protection supervisory authority.
